Studio Brief 02: Experimenting & photography Head Silhouettes

Experimenting with photography & Head Silhouettes, Using helvetica bold typeface

From researched gathered from interviews carried out and online research we decided to start and put some imagery together. Having been inspired from previous research we liked the idea of imagery being in the head silhouette, however we found photography was often used in the wrong context for health issues like these.  So we decided to put a different spin on this idea and Izzy gathered imagery of photographs which she had took which made her feel at piece, and things that she thinks of when going through a panic or anxiety attack. We then decided to place the images in the head silhouettes which created the following:

The idea of these symbols, is to help someone or help the public help someone who they see having a heart attack, panic attack, anxiety attack etc. The use of the relaxing imagery in the background is there to calm nerves and your head down, the use of the silhouette clearly indicates its something to do with health & mentality. The colours which are used through out the imagery are, cool, calming and homely colours such as, blue, orange and green pastel colours. From research we also found that the simpler the poster the easier is is to read and understand.

Final Mockups & Leaflets

From creating the above experiments we then started to create mockups to create social awareness, we did this by placing the mockups in bus stops, banners, around town, and created a mini publication which would be handed out to freely to passes by.

What do we want as a result?

What we find in the public eye these days is the lack of knowledge that people have for health when it comes to anxiety, heart attacks & panic attacks, creating these posters and banners, will hopefully educate the public to help someone who they can see is in venerable situation.

What would you do to take this Idea further?

To take this idea further we would create a website which was very basic, which is there to tell you what to do if your in such a circumstance, there would also be free brochures and leaflets which you can order of the site, which can be given to young children also.
