Inspirational Art - Personal Inspirations

INSPIRATIONAL ART INFLUENCES

Lately in my own time I've been trying to research unique and different ways to  create art, and I came across this inspiring video.

ABOUT THIS PROJECT

Created by a Canadian Artist Serge Belo this water mosaic was to raise awareness about the shortage of clean water globally. The result is a mosaic spanning 334 square meters, using 15,000 litres of coloured rainwater. He used 66,000 cups of water to simulate the impurities found in water all over the planet.

I then began to search his other work that he has done also and found some other pieces which I thought were unique such as:

ABOUT THIS PROJECT

Intending to educate citizens about the negative impact of cars on quality of life and on the environment , Bello illustrated a tree on pavement on a parking in the middle of the city.

The branches of the tree without leaves exhibits  an  arid and infertiule space, intended for the motorist. The foilage, made up of close to 100,000 recycled opus cards, symbolize  life and evokes all the benefits that are associated with the presence of a tree in the city.

Each leaf represents an individual who has chosen public transportation and who, by this gesture, permits the tree to retake its place in the urban landscape.
