As groups of five, once we had researched are company 'Help Link’, we then had to choose two fonts from the list of these typefaces that we think would work for the brand we had to re-brand:
• Helvetica
• Bondoni
• Garamond
• Centuary Expanded
• Futura
• Time Roman 193
Then had to compare them and decide which font would work best for the logo design.
As a group we
decided that we would use and compare Helvetica and Futura, as they are modern
and simplistic.
The two fonts are
quite similar to each other but they do have some differences. Such
as the letters that are dotted as J and I, the dots circular in the Futura font
but square in the Helvetica font. The upper case G has no tail in Futura but
does in Helvetica and the tail of the upper case R in Futura is straight but
curved in Helvetica. Also Helvetica is a slightly thinner font than
Futura
